RE: What’s Wrong With Virginia Foxx?

Judge Napolitano came up with a great editorial at Townhall on the new Federal Restricted Buildings and Grounds Improvement Act of 2011.

Both Richard Burr and Virginia Foxx voted IN FAVOR of this bill and AGAINST our Constitutional First Amendment Rights.  If it walks like a RINO, talks like a RINO, and VOTES like a RINO…it must be a RINO.

I am particularly disappointed in the Foxx vote on this bill.  She has always been a conservative friend of the people.  I have called both her Clemmons and Washington offices and could find NO ONE with any information on her position, no one willing to give a statement, a bunch of “yes mam’s” to unanswered questions, and a suggestion that I write a letter because “Congresswoman Foxx personally answers all her letters.”  Therefore, I submitted an email specifically requesting her explanation on why she would support a bill that guts our first amendment rights of free speech.  I also submitted one to Richard Burr.  (I know…don’t laugh.)  IF I get any response, I will post it here.

Something is going on with her that does not bode well for our district.

I’ve excerpted the best point made by the Judge.

This abominable legislation enjoyed overwhelming support from both political parties in Congress because the establishment loves power, fears dissent and hates inconvenience, and it doesn’t give a damn about the Constitution. It passed the Senate by unanimous consent, and only three members of the House voted against it. And the president signed it in secret. It is more typical of contemporary China than America. It is more George III than George Washington.

The Judge has it right.  So what’s wrong with Virginia Foxx?
