In what is being called a “chilling corruption of medical ethics”, the State of Oregon is telling Medicaid recipients that if treatment of their terminal disease doesn’t increase their odds of survival over 5%, it will not pay for chemotherapy or other drugs and procedures but will pay for the patient to receive doctor assisted suicide.
Oregon law supports the Death with Dignity Act. Lovely, womb to the tomb death coverage.
